- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and cut into wedges
- 8 oz halloumi cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Wooden or metal skewers (8 skewers)
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes to prevent burning, or use metal skewers.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, fresh lime juice, lime zest, and olive oil to create the honey lime glaze. Set aside.
- Toss peach wedges and halloumi cubes gently with smoked paprika and black pepper to season evenly.
- Thread halloumi and peach wedges alternately onto the skewers, leaving slight space to ensure even grilling.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). Oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.
- Place skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, brushing generously with the honey lime glaze on each turn, until halloumi has golden grill marks and peaches are tender but still hold shape.
- Remove skewers and let rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.

- If you don’t have halloumi, firm tofu can be grilled similarly but will have a different texture and flavor.
- To make this recipe nut-free and vegan, substitute honey with maple syrup and halloumi with marinated tofu or a thick vegetable steak like eggplant.
- Use ripe but firm peaches to prevent them from falling apart on the grill.
- If you don’t have a grill, this recipe works well on a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
